The ALAMO INDUSTRIAL® Hydro-15® is the original all-hydraulic wide-cut rotary mower. Our engineering staff designed this wide-cut mower to have low maintenance cost while maintaining superior performance. You will appreciate the maintenance and safety benefits of no drivelines, gearboxes, and no moving parts above the deck. The wings are raised and lowered using hydraulic power. With both wings raised, the unit has an eight-foot span for ease of transportation. This mower is also available in a two-section, Hydro-10 model. It is recommended that the tractor be in the 70 to 90 horsepower range. The Hydro-15® is pull-type with a self-leveling frame. The rear of the mower is supported with 4, dual-mounted, 6x9, center section tail wheels, and the wings each have a single 6x9 tail wheel.SPECIFICATIONS:
FRAME:
The deck is constructed of 10-gauge steel, while the side skirts are 1/4" thick by 10-3/8" with gussets in high stress areas and reinforced with 3/16" x 3" x 4" channel. Skid shoes are attached to all sections.
HYDRAULICS:
The hydraulic pump is a two-section, gear-type, (powered by the tractor PTO) 66-GPM at 2160 RPM, with a maximum rating of 145 HP. The hydraulic motors are gear-type and rated at 37-horsepower at 944 RPM at 2,500 PSI. The hydraulic reservoir has a 35-gallon capacity with patented in-frame cooling.
FILTER:
For cleanliness, there is a 10-micron dual filtering system.
MOUNTING:
The Hydro-15 is pull-type with a self-leveling frame. The tongue is heavy-duty channel steel attached to the main-frame and parallel linkage.
BLADES:
The updraft blades are 1/2" x 3-1/2" x 22-1/4", constructed of carbon-chrome spring steel which are forged and heat-treated.
TRANSPORT ASSEMBLY:
The center section has two sets of dual wheels and the wing sections each have a single wheel for support and transportation.
HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT:
The cutting height may be adjusted from 2" to 15" with pneumatic tires and 2" to 12" with sectional rubber tires.
SAFETY:
As standard equipment, we install double-row, bolt-on chain guards with 5/16" chain, no less than 14-strands per foot with a 1/4" steel cable laced one row from the bottom, held in by cable clamps.
TRACTOR:
We recommend that a tractor in the range of 70 to 90 HP be used with the Hydro-15.
