Lift-Type Rotary MowersThe Alamo Industrial® A 60 and A 72 heavy-duty rotary mowers are just right for cutting grass, weeds, and brush up to 3" in diameter. These units will cut a wide swath of 60" and 72" respectively, at a rate of 2-1/2-acres per hour at 4-miles per hour ground speed. The free-swinging, updraft blades produce a smooth cut and distribute the cut material evenly across the width of the mower. For adjusting height of cut, this rugged mowing unit has a full-swiveling, puncture-proof, laminated tailwheel. The cutting height may be adjusted from a minimum of 1-9/16" through 12".
The Cat 4 (35) driveline has a slip clutch and safety shield. The sturdy gearbox has a 90 horsepower rating. The tailwheel, mounted on a 360o swiveling caster, is laminated and puncture proof. Both units have two skid shoes that are adjustable and replaceable. The cutting height may be adjusted from 1-9/16" to 12". The mowers come with debris deflectors as standard equipment. Double chain guards are optional.
The A 60 and A 72 may be mounted to tractors with a minimum of 30 and 40 PTO horsepower respectively, with a PTO of 540 or 1000 RPM. These units are available with a floating CAT I three-point hitch for the A 60 and CAT II three-point hitch for the A 72.
SPECIFICATIONS:
MOUNTING:
The A 60 and A 72 may be mounted to tractors with a minimum of 30 and 40 PTO horsepower respectively, with 540 or 1000 RPM PTO. These units are available with CAT I three-point hitch for the A 60 and CAT II three-point hitch for the A 72.
CUTTING HEAD:
The blades are made of 1/2" thick by 4" wide alloy, heat-treated steel and attached to a pan blade carrier. The deck is made of 3/16" reinforced steel and the side skirts are 1/4" thick steel and 9" high.
DRIVELINE:
The Cat 4 (35) driveline has a slip clutch and safety shield. The sturdy gearbox has a 90 horsepower rating.
SKID SHOES:
Both units have two full-length and replaceable skid shoes.
TAILWHEEL:
The A 60 and A 72 have a rear tailwheel for additional support. The tire is laminated and puncture-proof and is mounted on a 360o swiveling caster.
CUTTING HEIGHT:
Both units have an adjustable cutting height from 1-9/16" to 12".
deflectors: Both units come with debris deflectors as standard equipment. Chain guards may be substituted as optional equipment.
WEIGHT:
The approximate weight of these units with deflectors are: A 60 - 810 pounds; A 72 - 975 pounds.
OFFSET ADAPTER:
Both units may be used with an optional offset adapter that will allow the mower to cut outside the right or left tractor tire. This offset hitch comes in handy when mowing in those hard-to-reach areas. The A 60 has a 13" offset and the A 72 has a 16" offset.
