With the Alamo Industrial® A 84B rotary mower, you will get top cutting performance and the economy associated with using a smaller horsepower tractor. The A 84B, available in either Lift- or Pull-Type design, will cut a full 7' swath through grass, weeds, and brush up to 2" in diameter. You will be proud of the smooth finish left by the A 84B because the underside of the mower deck is smooth which allows the grass and weed clippings to be evenly distributed across the entire mower discharge area.
The optional 16" offset hitch, available for the A 84B Lift-Type mower, permits cutting in hard-to-reach or wet areas and when combined with the side-mounted ALAMO VERSA® mower, the cutting swath is an impressive 11'.
The driveline is a Cat 4 (35) with a slip clutch and safety shield. The Pull-Type mower also has a jackshaft. The 90 horsepower gearbox has enough power to easily mow through 2" diameter brush. The mower is mounted to the tractor with a rugged, floating, three-point hitch. The Lift-Type unit is available with an offset adapter kit that will allow the operator to mow in hard-to-reach areas. The weight of the mower is evenly distributed by using two tailwheels. The cutting height may be adjusted from 2" to 12". The mowers come with debris deflectors as standard equipment.
MOUNTING:
The A 84B may be mounted to tractors with a minimum of 40 horsepower.
CUTTING HEAD:
The blades are made of 1/2" x 4" x 30-3/4" alloy, heat-treated steel. The blades are mounted on a blade pan. The deck is made of 10-gauge, reinforced steel and the side skirts are 1/4" x 9" high. The 90 horsepower gearbox has enough power to easily mow through 2" diameter brush.
DRIVELINE:
The driveline is a Cat 4 (35) with slip clutch and safety shield. The Pull-Type also has a jackshaft.
SKID SHOES:
Both units have replaceable skid shoes.
TAILWHEELS:
Lift-Type: Laminated, castering tailwheels.
Pull-Type: Laminated tires and wheels, Used airplane tires and wheels, Implement tires and wheels. 14" Wheels and 15" wheels (Wheels only) are also available.
CUTTING HEIGHT:
Both units have an adjustable cutting height from 2" to 12".
deflectors: These units come with debris deflectors as standard equipment. Double chain guards may be substituted as optional equipment.
WEIGHT:
The approximate weight of these units with deflectors are: A 84B Lift-Type - 1200 pounds; A 84B Pull-Type - 1350 pounds.
OFFSET ADAPTER:
The Offset Adapter Kit is available for the A 84B Lift-Type unit. The offset capability allows the operator to cut in hard-to-reach areas such as close to ponds or creeks without getting stuck in the mud. When combined with the ALAMO VERSA® mower the operator can cut an 11' wide swath.
